Malayalam or Telgu could be offered as Second Language if a considerable number of students opt for these. French is offered at the Higher Secondary level only.
Students at all the Brindavan Schools are divided into 4 houses. The houses are named after four great sons of India – Nehru, Shivaji, Bharathi and Tagore. Each house is governed by children invested with the offices of House Captain, Vice Captain and Prefect, thus instilling in them a sense of responsibility and giving them an opportunity to exercise their leadership qualities.
Inter-house and inter school competitions in Academics, Arts, Dramatics, Music, Dance,Inter-personal and Communication Skills, held periodically, help develop students all round capabilities as individuals and as a team.
The academic year commences in the month of June, concludes in April of the following year and is divided into two terms
Term 1 – First week of June to third week of December
Term 2 – Third week of January till mid April
Special classes are taken for all children of Classes X and XII, as preparation for their Board examinations. Their winter vacation is thus reduced to 10 days.
